Kant’s Ideal of Systematicity in Historical Context

Abstract This article explains Kant’s claim that sciences must take, at least as their ideal, the form of a ‘system’. I argue notion systematicity can be understood against background de Jong and Betti’s Classical Model Science (2010) writings Georg Friedrich Meier Johann Heinrich Lambert. According to my interpretation, Meier, Lambert Kant accepted an axiomatic idea science, articulated by Model, which elucidates conceptions systematicity. show critique mathematical method is compatible with his adherence this conception science. further advances traditionally logical ideals scientific knowledge, why think ‘systematic’.
